IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Lurgan Elim Coronavirus Response 17/03/20

In line with the latest Government and Public Health advice regarding the COVID-19 crisis on Monday 16 March 2020, and by following the leadership of Elim HQ, we are suspending all Lurgan Elim Church services with immediate effect, including services from this Sunday, 22 March until further notice. This is an unprecedented time, when “social gathering” can cause serious and fatal health issues. We know that God is in control, and we care for your health and that of our neighbours. Therefore, it is vital that we all take responsibility for our actions, as a church and as part of the broader community.

We aim to continue using our church model by putting as many activities as possible online, so spread the word, it will be on Facebook. Please contact Paula atconnectwithlurganelim@gmail.com  with any queries or for further info on streaming.

We have been making background preparations:

1. Connect with us on Facebook Live and we are establishing the use of YouTube

2. We will facilitate online conference calls for our:

a. Leadership meetings

b. Small community groups.

c. Prayer

d. Teaching

e. Fellowship

3. We will stream online with:

a. Prayerfully selected music

b. Tuesday and Sunday sermons

c. Daily devotionals

d. Platforms for departments to run weekly at their regular times

4. We will:

a. Connect daily with the elderly through phone calls

b. Connect daily with our congregation throughphone calls

c. Help with accessing online giving, tithing and offerings

d. Help you in any way we can, so please contact us, if you need help

We want to create as much opportunity for you to worship God, as part of our church at Lurgan Elim. However, this is new ground for everyone, and our preparations are to establish ways forward. If there is anything that you believe can help us to help others, please say. Also, please contact and help as many as possible to align with and use the online platforms. A major part of our ministry will be teaching people how to communicate online, to keep a sense of belonging, so we appreciate your help in all of this. For now, please pray for everyone and everything, and please stay safe.

Keep loving God and one another, (Mark 12:30-31),

Pastor Mark
